Gazprom sees average gas price for Europe at $167–171 in 2016

ST. PETERSBURG, May 26 (PRIME) -- Russian gas giant Gazprom plans to export about 165 billion cubic meters of natural gas to Europe at an average price of U.S. $167–171 per 1,000 cubic meters in 2016, Deputy CEO Alexander Medvedev told reporters on Thursday.

“I expect that an average price will stand at $167–171 (per 1,000 cubic meters) this year,” Medvedev said, adding the company plans to supply about 165 billion cubic meters of gas to Europe.

In 2015, Gazprom exported 159 billion cubic meters of gas to Europe.
